Born 26 July 1973 in London, Kathryn Bailey Beckinsale began her acting career in 1991 with a role in the TV movie One Against the Wind. Later Beckinsale was in Much Ado About Nothing, Emma, Shooting Fish, The Last Days of Disco, Cold Comfort Farm and Brokedown Palace. In 2001 Beckinsale took the lead female role in Pearl Harbor and followed this with the American films Serendipity, Underworld and Van Helsing. Beckinsale played as Ava Gardner in The Aviator and in 2006 in Click and Vacancy.
