Jessica Ann Simpson was born in Dallas, Texas, on July 10, 1980, began her singing career in 1999 with her double platinum debut album Sweet Kisses. Simpson followed this success in 2001 with the album Irresistible, which debuted at number 6 in June 2001 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart, two years later Simpson released her third album In This Skin however her album was overshadowed by her new reality TV show Newlyweds: Nick Jessica. The show took off and continued for three seasons. In 2005 Simpson got her film debut as Daisy Dukes on The Dukes of Hazzard, Simpson continued acting and was in the films Employee of the Month and Blonde Ambition. Simpson has since released her fourth album A Public Affair, which sold 101,000 copies sold in its first week.
